Share Market

The Root Cause Farm Share Market is a no cost Market every Tuesday from 3-4:30 pm at the Farm (26 Joe Jenkins Road). These markets are partnered with Bounty & Soul’s Produce to the People program. With their help, we are able to provide a consistent and abundant variety of fresh foods at every market.

You can contribute by bringing produce from your own garden to share with the community. Our markets will also feature cooking demonstrations, kids activities, music, and no cost offerings from partner organizations.

Who Do We Serve?

At Root Cause Farm we grow and share fresh, nutritious food with members of our community who are experiencing food insecurity.

Food insecurity means not always knowing where your next meal will come from, or not having consistent access to enough nourishing food to live a healthy and active life.

Food insecurity can look different for each person and family. Many people face situations hat cause them to be food insecure, those situations may include:

  • A job loss, reduced hours, or seasonal employment

  • Rising rent or unexpected medical bills

  • Medical or Student Debt

  • Caring for children or elders on a tight budget

  • Recovering from a natural disaster or personal crisis

  • Balancing the cost of groceries with gas, utilities, or childcare

Sometimes it is temporary. Sometimes it is ongoing. Often, it is invisible.

Our Approach

When you come to Root Cause Farm for food, we will not ask you to prove your need or share personal details about your situation. We do not require documentation or income verification, we trust you.

We trust you to assess your own circumstances and determine whether receiving food today is right for you. Our goal is to remove barriers and offer fresh food with dignity, care, and respect.

What We Ask of You

Our Share Markets are built on the belief that a strong community takes care of one another. If you are in a season where accessing free produce would ease your burden, we warmly welcome you to receive it.

If you are in a stable season and feel able to leave the produce for neighbors experiencing greater need, we honor that choice too. We invite you to make the decision that feels honest and right for your household.

We are so grateful to have you in our community, thank you for doing your part!
